About the role
As a member of our clinical team you will be planning, evaluating and delivering care to patients with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality service is provided to our patients.
In the Surgical Ward you can expect to care for multiple specialties including, orthopaedic, gynae, ENT, urology, neuro -spinal, general, plastics and vascular.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled hepatobiliary and colorectal registered nurse to work within the surgical ward. You will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing complex hepatobiliary and colorectal procedures, supporting them through pre-operative, post- operative and recovery phases.
Our Nurse Educators will provide support transitioning into the new hospital and help to build knowledge and skill in the specialties cared for.
About you
- Relevant qualifications and registrations with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Previous experience working in an acute hospital environment
- Flexibility to work a rotating 7-day roster is essential
- Demonstrates excellent time management and organisational skills
- Work well with a team.
Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $36.13 - $ 49.96 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (VIC RN/Midwife gr1-gr8)

The Hospitals
Northern Private Hospital is a 70-bed surgical and medical hospital located in New Epping, 22km from Melbourne’s CBD. Opened in February 2024, Northern Private Hospital facilities include 4 operating theatres, cardiac catheterisation laboratory, day chemotherapy, sleep study unit, on-site pharmacy, pathology and radiology. The Northern Private is also directly linked to Northern Public Hospital.

Requirements
- Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
