The Opportunity

We are seeking Environmental Services Team Leader to lead our Environmental Services Team at Ramsay Clinic Northside. This opportunity will have you being a part of a brilliant team of people responsible for providing the highest standards of cleanliness specifically to all areas of our hospital.

Our Environmental Services Team Leader will perform various duties including:

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness to all areas, including wards and general areas of the hospital.
  • Ensuring all equipment utilised on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate storage areas
  • Has got good experience in leading a small to medium size team.
  • Proven leadership & good understanding of Chemical Safety & Infection Control policies in health settings.
  • Experience around book keeping and record keeping of housekeeping documents.
  • Conducting regular staffs meeting to discuss significant achievements and areas of improvement.
  • Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times
  • Maintaining communication networks with nursing staff and other stakeholders ensuring quality clinical outcomes are achieved.

In addition to assistant with the above duties you will also assist  with daily operational requirements & audits preparations. This role is Monday – Friday and will have you leading 630 -1430 shifts this can be altered slightly to meet the employee needs to provide flexibility.

Reporting to the Hotel Services Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a good work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect for others and a commitment to professional practice. Overall, you will demonstrate highly developed communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. You are a positive and influential leader and love to see your team succeed.

You will also bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in hospital cleaning, or similar cleaning role
  • Thorough understanding of chemical safety and hazard principles
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team structure and independently as required
  • Act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with customers and staff
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Excellent time management skills

Requirements

  • Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
