  • Co-ordinating Care Across Masada Private, Mitcham Private and Waverley Private Hospital.

 

Are you an experienced Mental Health Enrolled Nurse (EEN)/Ward Clerk with strong knowledge of EPC services? We are seeking a highly organised and confident Triage Co-ordinator to support referrals and patient flow across EPC sites throughout Melbourne Ramsay sites.

This is a pivotal role ensuring consumers are triaged appropriately and connected to the right EPC service in a timely and safe manner.

 

About the Role

As the EPC Triage Co-ordinator, you will:

  • Manage and triage referrals across multiple EPC sites
  • Assess documentation and escalate clinical risks appropriately
  • Liaise with clinicians, intake teams and external referrers
  • Coordinate admissions, transfers and service allocations
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with mental health standards
  • Support smooth patient flow across metropolitan services.

 

About You

You are a compassionate and emotionally intelligent nurse with experience supporting families in the early parenting period. You bring strong clinical judgement, a calm and reassuring approach, and a genuine commitment to family-centred care. You confidently provide evidence-base support with sleep, feeding, settling, and parent-infant attachment, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

You create a safe, non-judgemental environment where parents feel heard, supported, and empowered.

 

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Qualification as an Enrolled Nurse (Mental Health) and demonstrated experience as a Mental Health Ward Clerk (preferrable but not essential)
  • Mandatory experience within EPC services
  • Strong understanding of mental health intake and triage processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High attention to detail and strong administrative capability
  • Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

 

Desirable / Highly Regarded:

  • Experience or background in Early Childhood Education, Early Education, Parenting Support or Parent Training
  • Understanding of parenting issues and family dynamics within mental health settings

Masada Private Hospital is a 94-bed acute medical, surgical facility with specialised dermatology, Early parenting, and rehabilitation services.

Mitcham Private Hospital is a 121-bed facility that provides surgical, obstetric, and mental health services which includes Early Parenting Services.

Waverley Private Hospital is a 98-bed acute medical and surgical facility which also provides day oncology, obstetrics and an Early Parenting Service.

Across our fully accredited sites, we offer a total of 32 beds and can accommodate babies from 4 to 24 months old. The Early Parenting Centres are designed to give parents support to address challenges including.

Requirements

  • Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
