About the Role

In this key leadership position, you are accountable for efficient and effective operational management of the team to ensure safe patient care and outstanding quality patient outcomes, after normal business hours. 

This role supports all hospital departments ensuring patients, families and VMOs receive a high level of care and service. This is a key leadership position that is accountable for efficient and effective operational management of the hospital after-hours.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated Registered Nurse to lead patient flow, bed management, and clinical services.

About the Role

As After-Hours Manager, you will:

• Assume overall responsibility for the hospital after hours, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.
• Be an effective role model throughout the hospital in the absence of the managers
• Display extensive clinical skills and experience along with exceptional interpersonal skills and communication
• Lead and manage staff, resources, and clinical services efficiently.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate processes to maintain excellence in service delivery.

About You

The role requires working with and supporting other managers, senior nurses, hospital teams and departments/services in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.

• Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA.
• Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and extensive clinical skills and experience.
• Highly desirable - Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification, and critical care experience.
• Ability to problem solve, coordinate and deescalate situations that arise.
• Extensive customer service skills
• Ability to act as an effective role model in the area of clinical practice.
• Ability to lead and motivate others.
• Sound Computer skills in MS Office programs (Word, Excel & Outlook).

Requirements

• Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
