Assistant Coding Clerk – Health Information Services
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Coding Clerk to join our Health Information Services team. In this entry-level role, you will support Clinical Coders by preparing, reviewing, and maintaining patient records to ensure accurate and compliant coding, contributing to hospital reporting, funding, and quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Clinical Coders in reviewing and organising medical records
- Assist with data entry, documentation checks, and record management
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to clarify information
- Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives
- Learn and apply coding standards under supervision
About You:
- Interest in healthcare, medical records, or clinical coding
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to follow procedures and work collaboratively
- Eager to learn and develop skills in health information management
