This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in clinical coding, allowing you to develop expertise in ICD-10-AM, ACHI/ACS coding standards, and healthcare documentation. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate patient records that support hospital reporting, funding, and quality improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn to assign accurate ICD-10-AM and ACHI/ACS codes under supervision
  • Review clinical documentation and support senior coders in record validation
  • Participate in audits, data quality initiatives, and reporting activities
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to clarify documentation
  • Develop coding knowledge and maintain compliance with national standards

 

About You:

  • Interest in healthcare, clinical coding, or health information management
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Eager to learn, follow processes, and work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to engage with clinical staff

Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $39.9 + superannuation + levels of experience and qualification

Requirements

  • Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
