Glengarry Private Hospital is seeking casual Occupational Therapists to join our Allied Health team and support our hospital’s growth and service development.

 

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for highly motivated Occupational Therapists to join our team. This opportunity will see you working with in-patients, alongside a dedicated and experienced Allied Health and clinical team that provides a variety of rehabilitation programs including orthopaedic, Parkinson’s disease, Neurology/Stroke  and reconditioning. The Allied Health team also provides assessment and interventions to our Public Palliative care patients.

In this role you will be responsible for conducting a variety of Occupational Therapy assessments including comprehensive functional assessments, cognitive assessments and home assessments. Therapy may be provided in both individual and group settings. Appropriate discharge plans are developed using a multidisciplinary team approach and all staff are required to contribute to team meetings and discharge planning activities.

 

About You

You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist ideally with a minimum of 1 year post graduate experience. Experience within an acute hospital or rehabilitation setting will be highly regarded. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build rapport and deliver a high standard of customer-focused service in line with our Ramsay core values.  You will also demonstrate the ability to manage conflicting priorities and workloads independently and work effectively and collaboratively as part of our multidisciplinary team.

 

You will also bring the following criteria;

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent with AHPRA registration,
  • Prior experience working in an acute / rehabilitation hospital or rehabilitation setting preferable
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills,
  • Be willing to contribute to the development and promotion of a cohesive and interactive team,
  • Flexible and positive approach to work.

Requirements
