The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse, with recent experience in a perioperative setting to join our team.  The successful candidate must be committed to the provision of a high level of customer service and quality health care in a team environment.

As a member of our theatre team, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Clinical Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality service is provided to our patients throughout their procedures.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Acting as a patient advocate and ensuring optimal outcomes throughout the perioperative journey
  • Supporting perioperative workflow and maintaining timely theatre schedules
  • Communicating effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and nursing teams
  • Demonstrating sound clinical judgment and adaptability in a busy environment
  • Promoting a culture of safety, empathy, and respect across all interactions

 

Skills and Experience

  • Current nursing registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an acute setting (essential)
  • Experience working in Anaesthetics and Recovery will be highly regarded
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Remuneration

A base hourly rate ranging from $42.43 - $56.52 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW Registered Nurse Level 1 gr2-gr8)

Tamara Private Hospital is conveniently located in the heart of Tamworth on the beautiful North West Slopes and Plains of NSW, only 5 hours north of Sydney and 6 hours south of Brisbane. It is easily accessible by main roads and is well serviced by public transport.

Requirements

  • Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
