Clinical Nurse Facilitator - Medical Surgical Education Team

Join our dedicated Medical Surgical Clinical Education Team at Greenslopes Private Hospital as a Clinical Facilitator on a permanent, part-time basis (48 hours).

In this role, you will provide education, mentorship, and clinical expertise to nursing staff across our medical/surgical inpatient departments, supporting excellence in patient care under the guidance of the Medical Surgical Clinical Nurse Educator.

You are an experienced Registered Nurse with strong organisational and communication skills, a passion for education, and the flexibility to meet a range of learning needs throughout the medical and surgical speciality departments.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering education plans for the provision of the highest standards of patient care.
  • Facilitating department-based training and conducting clinical competency assessments.
  • Providing hands-on clinical support to our nursing teams and fostering a positive learning culture. 

 

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will bring exceptional time management skills, be highly organised and flexible to accommodate educational needs across different areas. You will have a committed and proactive approach to professional development, demonstrated experience in mentoring clinical staff and be an exceptional and positive role model.

Essential criteria:

  • Relevant Nursing Registration with AHPRA.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse working in the Medical and/or Surgical inpatient environment.

Desirable criteria:

  • Previous experience in an education role (advantageous).
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE40116).
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a speciality related to Medical/Surgical Nursing or Education (or working towards).

Requirements

  • Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
