Joondalup Health Campus is expanding and launching a modern Private Room Service Kitchen, and we are seeking enthusiastic Kitchen Hands to join our growing team to work across both our public and private services.
Successful candidates must have the ability to work shifts across a 14-day rotating roster which may involve weekdays, weekend, and public holidays, various shifts available between 07.00 and 21:00.
About the Role
Whether you are assisting chefs, or maintaining high cleanliness standards, you will play an essential role in providing safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred dining services. Reporting to the Head Chef, you’ll be working within a fast-paced team-focused environment. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Maintaining a clean, hygienic, and well‑organised kitchen
- Washing pots, pans, utensils, trays, and equipment
- Supporting food preparation and basic kitchen tasks
- Assisting chefs during service periods when requested
- Receiving, storing, and rotating stock
- Upholding Food Safety Standards and cleaning procedures
- Be reliable, motivated and have a friendly nature
About You
To excel in this position, we seek a proactive and enthusiastic team member with a genuine enthusiasm for catering services. Previous experience in a comparable food service environment, particularly within a clinical setting, will be highly valued.
Ideally you will also bring:
- Previous experience in a hospital or hospitality environment.
- Previous customer service experience is essential.
- Certificate II or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable).
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
