The Opportunity

Ramsay Health Care is seeking a commercially minded HR Manager to play a key role in delivering our Commercial People Strategy across the business. Partnering closely with Commercial leaders, you will translate strategy into practical workforce solutions that drive performance, productivity and sustainable growth. This is a senior business partnering role where you will operate across both strategic and hands-on domains, providing expert guidance in employee and industrial relations, building leadership capability, and ensuring people initiatives are aligned to business priorities while effectively managing risk. You will have the opportunity to influence outcomes at scale within a complex, multi-site environment, working with senior stakeholders to deliver impactful people solutions that support both operational excellence and commercial success.

What You’ll Do

You will act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to Commercial leaders, embedding people strategies that directly enable business performance. Your role will balance strategic influence with hands-on delivery across employee relations, industrial relations and organisational change. Key accountabilities include:

  • Partner with Commercial leaders to operationalise people strategies and workforce plans.
  • Translate business strategy into actionable people initiatives that support performance and capability.
  • Provide expert advice on people-related risks, opportunities and trade-offs
  • Lead and support enterprise bargaining processes, including negotiation and implementation.
  • Provide guidance on Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment legislation.
  • Manage industrial and employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent and compliant outcomes.
  • Build leadership capability across the business, reducing reliance on HR through coaching and support.
  • Support workforce planning, talent and succession strategies aligned to business needs
  • Lead and support people aspects of organisational change, restructures and transformation.
  • Use data and insights to inform decisions, identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with People, Legal and operational teams to ensure alignment and governance.

What You’ll Bring

You are a confident and credible HR leader with strong commercial acumen and a proven track record operating in complex environments. You are comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, navigating ambiguity, and balancing business outcomes with people and risk considerations.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Significant experience in a senior HR Business Partner or HR leadership role within a complex, multi-site environment.
  • Proven ability to operationalise people strategy into practical workforce and people plans.
  • Strong experience in industrial relations, including enterprise bargaining and Award interpretation.
  • Deep knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations matters including performance, grievances and investigations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Experience supporting organisational change, transformation and workforce transitions.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to use data to inform decisions.

Benefits

  • An attractive remuneration package, supported by a comprehensive range of benefits that recognise your contribution and promote your wellbeing.
  • Opportunities for leadership and professional development, with clear pathways for career growth across Australia’s largest private healthcare provider.
  • Access to an exclusive rewards program offering premium discounts and privileges with leading national and global brands.
  • The chance to join a purpose-driven organisation at a pivotal time, where you can contribute to meaningful transformation and help shape the future of high-quality healthcare across the Ramsay network.
