About the Opportunity
We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Critical Care experienced Registered Nurses to join our dynamic and patient‑focused team. The ideal candidate will bring advanced clinical expertise, sound critical thinking, and a strong commitment to delivering safe, high‑quality care to patients with complex and life‑threatening conditions.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive nursing care, respond swiftly to acute exacerbation, and contribute to a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Deliver expert, evidence‑based nursing care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring, advanced therapies, and complex interventions.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, identify clinical deterioration, and initiate timely and appropriate interventions.
- Safely manage advanced technologies including ventilators, invasive lines, haemodynamic monitoring, and continuous infusion therapies.
- Contribute to rapid response and emergency situations with confidence and clinical precision.
About Our ICU, A&E, and CCU
Lake Macquarie Private Hospital has 12 qualified ICU beds with haemodynamic monitoring as well as a 24/7 6 bed Emergency department. The hospital is well equipped with a team of Intensivists, experienced ICU trained nursing staff, and 24 hour dedicated medical cover. Specialising in post operative care for cardiothoracic and other advanced surgical procedures, you’ll be working with leading specialists providing high quality critical care services to the community.
What You’ll Bring
We are looking for a proactive, knowledgeable, and empathetic Registered Nurse who is committed to delivering the highest standard of patient-centred critical care.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 3 years’ nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Recent experience in Intensive Care nursing (essential).
- Postgraduate ICU qualifications and/or relevant certifications (highly regarded).
- Sound understanding of infection control, patient safety, and clinical best practices.
- A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.

Requirements
- Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
- Depending on the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
Remuneration
On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $44.61 - $56.52 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW Ramsay Healthcare Nurses & Midwives - RN/Midwife Level 1 gr3-gr8).
