Associate Nurse Unit Manager – PACU and Anaesthetics

Permanent Full Time

About The Role:  

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and Director of Clinical Services, you will work with and support nursing staff in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements. This position will take direct ownership of the day to day operations of these specialised areas within the perioperative space ensuring a culture of high-performance and patient centred care is consistently maintained.

The successful candidate will support the supervision, leadership, and motivation of staff to achieve outcomes with the ability to deliver on financial and human resource expectations. You will effectively help to manage roster processes, allocate duties for nursing staff, and provide a positive, safe, learning environment. 

What you’ll bring:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrated extensive clinical skills and experience as a Clinical Nurse or Nurse in Charge, delivering high standards of clinical care utilising specialist knowledge
  • Post graduate Clinical Nursing qualification (or currently working towards)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years management or team leading experience. 
  • Significant experience in a hospital perioperative environment

Remuneration

A base hourly rate ranging from $55.92 - $57.76 plus superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (VIC, Nurses & Midwives ANUM, L1 – Gr 1-2)
