Sterilisation Services Educators /Team Leader

About the Role

To ensure minimum requirements are met for care, handling and reprocessing of reusable medical devices within the Sterilisng Services Department and overseeing the implementation and ongoing coordination of the education programme.

This will include but not limited to:

  • SSD Student Support and Assessment
  • SSD Staff Skill Set and Education Programme
  • Relief cover for SSD Team Leaders
  • Maintaining cleanliness of all work areas including benches, trolleys, machines and equipment
  • Cleaning, inspecting, assembling, packing and sterilising Reusable Medical Devices ensuring any damage is reported in a timely manner.
  • Available to work a 7-day rotating roster including night shift.

 

About You

Succeed in this role with strong work ethic, punctuality, integrity, respect and commitment to professional practice.

You will also bring: 

  • Certificate III in Health Service Sterilisation Services
  • 4 years current SSD Technician experience
  • Obtained or working towards a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
  • Strong interest in mentoring and development of staff
  • Certificate III Sterilising Services
  • Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training or working towards. 

Desirable: Certificate IV in Sterilising Services.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
