About the Role
With business increasing we are looking to recruit Allied Health Assistants to join our Ramsay Health Plus team at Cairns Private Hospital.
Our Allied Health Department provides services to a broad range of clinical caseloads across the hospital including adult inpatients in the acute wards, rehabilitation, and day programs.
As the Allied Health Assistant, you will:
- Work under the guidance and direction of our supportive allied health professionals
- Provide both clinical and non-clinical support, including physical patient support and administrative tasks
- Assist with the maintenance of department equipment
Your Skills and Experiences
This role will suit an individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills who thrives on working within a team. The ability to communicate effectively with clients / colleagues and a positive, enthusiastic approach to your work will be key to your success in this role.
You will also bring:
- Recent, relevant experience in a hospital/rehabilitation environment and Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance will be highly desirable
- A positive and flexible approach to work in a developing service
- A desire to care and help a wide range of patient groups
- Provide a quality customer focused service
- Availability to work on some weekends and public holidays
The successful applicant must be flexible to work a rotating roster.
Remuneration
A base hourly rate from $26.50 - $29.70 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications (QLD Support Services Level 1.1-2.1).

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
