The Opportunity
Join our friendly payroll team as we look for a motivated Payroll Officer to support our Victorian operations. You’ll assist with the entire payroll processing cycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all calculations while following relevant laws and regulations. Resolving payroll issues and providing support to the payroll team will be key parts of your role. You'll also work closely with HR, finance, and IT teams to help integrate payroll operations and ensure accurate reporting.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in preparing fortnightly payrolls for multiple locations.
- Prepare and process necessary documentation for new hires, contract variations, and terminations.
- Maintain accurate personnel records.
- Respond to payroll inquiries promptly and accurately.
- Prepare and reconcile payment summaries, superannuation contributions, and other payroll-related documents.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager.

Desirable
- Experience with the Chris 21 payroll system.
- Strong understanding of regulatory issues related to PAYG tax, payroll tax, superannuation, workers' compensation, salary packaging, and FBT.

Requirements
- You may have to provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months.
