The Opportunity
The IAM Analyst (Okta Engineer) is pivotal to the daily operations of IAM services at Ramsay Australia. In this role, you will ensure the day-to-day management of the IAM Platforms to ensure the IAM Services are always up and running. You will design, implement, and maintain operational processes that adapt to evolving business needs, all while adhering to the designs, controls, and guidance provided by the IAM Engineering Team and Cybersecurity leadership. Please note, this role can be based in any state across Australia.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the configuration and implementation of various IAM tools (focusing primarily on Okta and CyberArk) to ensure compliance with security control standards within the IAM operations environment.
- Manage the lifecycle of user identities, including JML, UAR, Remote Access and PAM
- Experience in application onboarding for governance and user lifecycle management.
- With the power of Okta, EntraID, and AWS technologies at your fingertips, you'll be automating key IAM processes, ensuring smooth operations while continuously exploring new ways to enhance efficiency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in a DevOps environment, embedding software development best practices into our IAM workflows (Okta) when delivering incident fixes.
- Monitor and analyse security incidents related to identity and access management, to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
- Deliver fix for the BAU IAM operations incidents, lead incident calls and be the first point of contact for IAM platforms.
- Design and execute acceptance testing to improve the quality and reduce operational risk of the IAM products and services.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of IAM processes, configurations, and policies to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Generate regular reports on access control metrics, compliance status, and incident response activities to inform stakeholders.
Your Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management principles, such as: Principle of Least Privilege, Privileged Access Management, Authentication and Authorisation and Access Control Lifecycle.
- Minimum 3-4 years of demonstrated experience in IAM engineering and operations to manage digital identity is a must.
- Hands-on experience with cloud based IAM solutions, including Okta, Okta Workflow Management, EntraID, and CyberArk.
- Ability to implement and uphold ITIL best practices while managing the IAM Operations duties, ensuring alignment with IT service delivery standards.
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, business systems, or computer science.
- Experience with various industry frameworks and regulations, including NIST, Essential 8, Privacy, and AHPRA.
- Strong knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and user provisioning.
